Kit Golan-Bouche

Consultant

Kit Golan-Bouche (he/they) has spent their career in math education as a tutor, teacher, coach, and consultant. Across all of those roles, their north star has been helping students and teachers to become sense-makers rather than answer-getters. They believe math is a human activity that should make sense to all; that outlook has shaped not only how they teach but also how they design structures that help educators do their best work.

Kit began their decade-long classroom career as a Math for America Teaching Fellow, teaching all levels of middle school math in New York City public schools. They went on to become a Math for America Master Teacher, mentoring colleagues and designing and facilitating professional learning. A Fund for Teachers Fellowship brought them to the Freudenthal Institute in Utrecht, Netherlands, where they studied Realistic Mathematics Education. Since relocating to Massachusetts, Kit has partnered with schools and districts around the state through consulting, coaching, and professional development to support teachers and leaders.

A New Yorker now rooted in New England, Kit lives with their husband in Malden, Massachusetts.
